Choral Evensong

On Sunday 29th September at 14.30 please join us for our beautiful Choral Evensong. This service is a form of worship several hundred years old, once described as a ‘window to heaven’, with words and music drawn almost always directly from the bible. In between readings are musical settings to the Magnificat (the words Mary sang when pregnant with Jesus) and the Nunc Dimittis (the woods the faithful servant Simeon said when he first saw the infant Jesus). There is also a sung psalm and the choir, joined by The Anglican Singers, will sing an anthem. Our guest organist, Jas Hutchinson-Bazely will play a voluntary at the end of the service. This service is led by Rev. Canon Jake Dejonge. All very welcome.
