Remembrance Sunday 12th November, 14.30
Our Remembrance Sunday service offers a chance to think, to show respect and consideration, and to honour those who selflessly gave up so much to ensure that we live our lives in a free and democratic society. We owe so much to them and it is our duty never to forget.
At the same time we pray for peace in our world, we pray for unity in Christ’s kind and gentle kingdom. We ask for healing to be brought to the wounds of war.
And as you remember them, remember us, O Lord; grant us peace in our time and a longing for the day when people of every language, race, and nation will be brought into the unity of Christ’s kingdom. This we ask in the name of the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
