Cymru – A Welsh Pilgrimage

After a little break Rev Derek Akker takes us on a new imaginative pilgrimage.  This series takes us around Wales with an introduction to St Bernard of Clairvaux and the Cistercians who influenced the growth of Christianity in Wales from the 12th century to the Reformation and beyond. Our imaginative pilgrimage will start in south west Wales move north then across north Wales and travel down eastern Wales finishing in south Wales.

Wales is a country of hills and mountains, valleys and ravens, of coastlands and breath taking scenery. It is a country with a rich history, culture and a unique language. It is easy to romanticise the past and overlook the scars of history both physical and emotional. History has stories that are passed down from one generation to another.
